all in a day's commute

a taxi nearly ran over me today. and this was while i was walking on the pedestrian lane! is it not enough that we commuters have to contend with overpasses, while they have EDSA to themselves?! and here i was, an ordinary citizen trying to abide by the law. grrr... maybe i'm so thin that drivers don't see me.. (*sigh*) i hate crossing the street :(

hey liz, nice to see you blogging here. anyway, a lot of drivers in the philippines do not know what a pedestrian lane is. so take extra care in crossing, better yet, cross with a crowd (that way you use someone as a shield, hehe).

Things you so hate in the shuttle service commute:

People whose behinds obviously occupy two seats and yet insist on paying for only one whilst squishing nerds like me into the window.

People who play dumb and ask around people standing in line. Next thing you know, she's in front.

People who don't turn off or lower the volume of their ringtones when it's obvious that the inside of the shuttle is so quiet, you can hear the most silent beep and the fact that their holding on to the phone.

People who think the shuttle is their private van and talk so loud you can't understand the CB radio talk between shuttle drivers. Making things worse are the topics which are mostly about themselves. That's why I bought a Palm to play mp3s full volume while on the commute. My doctor tells me I'll soon be needing a hearing aid.

People who insist on sitting near the door, when they're the last to get off the van. Plus, they'll give you dagger looks if you request them to give you space to get off the shuttle.
