you're beautiful

this song, like the verve pipe's freshmen, makes me sad... maybe it's because of the lines, "but it's time to face the truth...i will never be with you."

you're beautiful (james blunt )

my life is brilliant.
my love is pure.
i saw an angel.
of that i'm sure.
she smiled at me on the subway.
she was with another man.
but i won't lose no sleep on that,
'cause i've got a plan.

you're beautiful, you're beautiful.
you're beautiful, it's true.
i saw your face in a crowded place,
and i don't know what to do,
'cause i'll never be with you.

yes, she caught my eye,
as i walked on by.
she could see from my face that i was,
flying high,
and i don't think that i'll see her again,
but we shared a moment that will last till the end.

you're beautiful, you're beautiful.
you're beautiful, it's true.
i saw your face in a crowded place,
and i don't know what to do,
'cause i'll never be with you.

you're beautiful, you're beautiful.
you're beautiful, it's true.
there must be an angel with a smile on her face,
when she thought up that i should be with you.

but it's time to face the truth,
i will never be with you.

cravings... again

i have been craving again. this time, it's for banana cue. good thing that some of the jollijeeps near our office are selling them. there's also this g(u)y, buddy, who sells snacks (including banana cue) to us. but sometimes, there isn't any available outside, or buddy isn't selling any. or sometimes, the sugar is not enough, or the banana is too overripe. it got me thinking... maybe i should cook my own banana cue. that way, i would have just the right banana cue (hopefully :P). who knows, i can even sell some in the office (tee-hee). nah, they would only be for my consumption :P

i would definitely try to make some in the next weekends. taste-testers, anyone? ;)

cravings -- aftermath

i was able to do some grocery yesterday, and yes, i bought some cans of century tuna with calamansi and a small bundle of kangkong. i cooked adobong kangkong at last, and i think it will take me three meals to consume everything (it's surprising how much adobong kangkong you can make from a P6 bundle of kangkong). i almost wasn't able to cook the adobo because there was very little soy sauce left; good thing it was enough (housemates, i will replace the soy sauce :P ).

cravings

i have been craving for century tuna with calamansi for two weeks now. i have been eating tuna on weekends for several weeks. however, i have used up all my stock tuna, and i have been too lazy to do a little grocery. :(

i have also been craving for adobong kangkong for the longest time now. i have tried cooking some but to no avail. the first time, there was no available kangkong in the grocery. the second time, i have managed to buy some, but wasn't able to cook it. and now, like the tuna's case, i have been too lazy to go out of the house to buy some again.

as a result of this adobong kangkong craving, i almost always order stir-fry kangkong whenever we eat at Chowking (there's one in front of our office). and we eat there almost everyday!

quick, somebody cook me some delicious adobong kangkong before i turn into a goat or a green leafy vegetable!

labsong

this is one my favorite Eraserheads songs. I took the liberty of re-wording some of the verses to make the song more "theologically sound". my favorite lines are "Ako ang Diyos at Hari ng iyong mundo...matakot sila sa 'yo..." ("I am the God and King of your world...they should fear you...") I keep this truth in mind especially when i'm going to meet a difficult client, or anyone who is out to make my life miserable. i am reminded that if God is for me, who can be against me (romans 8:31)?

*sigh* I can just imagine God singing this song to me. :)

HUWAG KANG MATAKOT

Huwag kang matakot
'Di mo ba alam nandito lang Ako
Sa iyong tabi
'Di Kita pababayaan kailan man
At kung ikaw ay mahulog sa bangin
Ay sasaluhin Kita

CHORUS:
Huwag kang matakot na matulog mag-isa
Kasama mo naman Ako

Huwag kang matakot na umibig at lumuha
Kasama mo naman Ako
Huwag kang matakot

Huwag kang matakot
Dahil ang buhay mo'y walang katapusan
Makapangyarihan ang pag-ibig
Na hawak mo sa iyong kamay
Ako ang Diyos at Hari ng iyong mundo
Matakot sila sa 'yo

CHORUS:
Huwag kang matakot na matulog mag-isa
Kasama mo naman Ako
Huwag kang matakot na umibig at lumuha
Kasama mo naman Ako
Huwag kang matakot na magmukhang tanga
Kasama mo naman Ako
Huwag kang matakot sa hindi mo pa makita
Kasama mo naman ako
Huwag kang matakot
Aahhhah

CHORUS:
Huwag kang matakot na matulog mag-isa
Kasama mo naman Ako
Huwag kang matakot na umibig at lumuha
Kasama mo naman Ako
Huwag kang matakot

Huwag kang matakot (huwag kang matakot)
'Di Kita pababayaan kailan man
(Repeat till fade)

5... because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."[a]
6So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"[b]

- hebrews 13:5-6
